Install the Spout (cont.)

Threaded Spout

Apply thread sealant and install a 1/2” NPT nipple to extend

4–1/2” (11.4cm) beyond the ﬁnished wall.

Apply plumbers putty or other sealant, according to the putty

manufacturers instructions, around the base of the escutcheon,

leaving a small gap free of putty at the bottom of the escutcheon.

Apply thread sealant to the nipple and install the spout to the

nipple.

Carefully tighten the spout with a clean strap wrench.

Remove any excess putty.
